We have appointed Tesla’s Hasti Adouli and independent consultant Gavin Bonnett to our Common Quality Technical Group (CQTG).
The CQTG provides independent technical advice to support our review of the common quality requirements in Part 8 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010. The group’s work focuses on common quality issues arising from the increasing amount of intermittent and variable resources connecting to New Zealand’s power system.
Together, Hasti and Gavin bring expertise across power quality, battery energy storage systems, network operations, customer connections and inverter-based resources. Their combined experience will strengthen the group’s ability to support the next phase of the Part 8 review.
We’re pleased to welcome Hasti and Gavin to the group and thank them for putting themselves forward.
At the same time, we wish to extend our sincere thanks to Brent Duder-Findlay and Stuart Johnston who are now stepping down. Their insights and dedication have been invaluable.
We also confirm that the remaining CQTG members have accepted a 12-month extension to their terms through to 30 June 2027. We thank all current and former members for their contribution to the group and the ongoing review.
Information about the group, including membership details, meeting papers, minutes and terms of reference is available on our website.
